Support your friends: LIGHT AND WIRE

My friends at Light & Wire Gallery do not announce themselves as a non-profit institution, nor do they have a “Support” page on their site. I imagine that they, like many of us in the world of culture, exist as a ‘profitless institution’ and therefore will probably be eager to accept any gift that you’d like to send their way. Read on – you’ll want to because the current artist project that they are hosting is by Gregory Michael Hernandez, and like anything this artist does, is not to be missed.

FYI. I have cut and pasted the entirety of Light & Wire’s front page. Everything links back to the Light & Wire site.

I begin my quoting now, with the list of past L&W artist projects. You are entering Light & Wire, prepare to be impressed:

LIGHT & WIRE GALLERY is a web-based art space that explores the possibilities of producing and exhibiting art beyond the traditional gallery format while striving to engage artists in the realization of unique temporal and temporary projects. Founded in July of 2008, LIGHT & WIRE has launched upwards of 27 shows, including one physical exhibition and a public art project. LIGHT & WIRE is directed by Gladys-Katherina Hernando and is based in Los Angeles, California.
